Summer Vacation - Part One

We just got back from the BEST vacation. Seriously, it was amazing. It was a full four days, but it was relaxing and full of TONS of laughter.
We left Mom and Dad's Tuesday for San Antonio. Tuesday night we went to visit Ronnie's college buddy, Ray Watson, and his wife, Susan. They have two girls: Regan (4) and Hannah (2). Catching-up and watching the kids play proved to be a great way to start our vacation.

(Kade, Hannah, Reagan, and Drew)

Wednesday morning we set our sights on Sea World. Drew and Kade were jumping around with their hands in the air and shouting, "Woohoo!!! Hip Hip Hooray!!!"

As soon as we walked in the gates Drew looked in the fountain and asked, "Where is Shamu?" Ha!

I told him to hug his little brother for a picture...

and this is what I got!!!
(Hug/Choke-hold...it's all the same with the Jenkins' boys =)

The first thing we did was go to the kiddie rides. Drew rode the Shamu Express, but Kade was few inches too short. Poor Kader Tater =( They did get to ride this ride (above) and another ride with me, so Kade's mood lifted. Then we went to the "big kid" rides and Drew was 2 inches too short to ride the big roller coasters. He was SO bummed out, but loved the Texas Splashtown (pic above). We all four were able to ride together, and it was AWESOME. I wish I could have bottled-up that minute and kept it forever, but at least we were able to buy this picture at the Sea World photo booth.
(I don't have a scanner, so I had to take a picture of a picture...that is why the picture quality is poor.) Anyhoo...We had some time to kill before the show, Viva, so the boys stopped by to play here!

They were soaked, and LOVED it...
They had so much fun in the water, they needed a little "thumb break" before Viva started.
Viva is a show with dolphins, beluga whales, acrobats, divers, and a comedian.
It was my favorite show at Sea World. Then we went to see Shamu's show, Believe.Drew was captivated, and Kade.....
well, he loved eating his bag of Cheetos.
We had great seats, just six rows above this section.
Then we went to the aquarium, and the boys kept screaming,
"MOM, LOOK AT THIS!!!"

Sharks and eels and tropical fish....OH MY!!!Ronnie really liked looking at these poisonous frogs.
I was wondering...how did Noah keep these frogs "in-line" on the ark?
This was Drew's FAVORITE part of Sea World...feeding the dolphins.
Drew, Kade, and Ronnie checking out Diamond, the Clydesdale horse.
We left Sea World around 5:00 and went to eat at Cheddars. Kade slept through the whole dinner.
After we cleaned-up, we went to Malibu Gran Prix.
Drew and Ronnie driving the race cars.
Kade couldn't ride (he was 2 inches too short).
Look at that sad little face =(

Then we went to play a little putt-putt. Thankfully there was nobody there, because it took Drew over 25 tries to get the ball into this house. He perservered because when you get it into the house it comes out at another place...which makes THIS one of the coolest holes in the park (or at least that is what Drew told me=) Ha!
Ronnie was incredibly patient with Drew and Kade. He is the best Daddy. He ended up not getting to play, because every time he hit the ball Kade would go pick it up and bring it back to him. It was hilarious.
Ronnie was trying to help Kade hold the golf club.

But, Kade had to do it his own way. He finally found the secret to success...only wear one shoe.
AND, you have to wear that shoe on the wrong foot. Ha!!!
I will post more from our vacation tomorrow.

Sounds great! I wanted to call ya but figured when you guys had rested up you would give me a call, but it sounded like you had already called Nonni and given her an update, so I heard all about the trip! I'm so glad you guys were able to get away together and that it was a good time! Now, time to rest up from your vacay! HA!
