Freedom from defeat!! I love that! That is my goal this week. You know, I still do not have a scale - so I don't know if that really counts with sticking with this challenge the whole time. I know I am supposed to be weighing in but, nevertheless, I have appreciated the encouragement and the accountability of knowing I'm checking in here each Monday.

I did wear a skirt to church yesterday that was TOO tight the last time I tried it! It looked rather cute, I might add. Hopefully, that is a good sign but like I said, I can't say exact numbers!

I think I had a really healthy week...I'm going out of town this week (to Texas!) and I want to keep doing well even when I'm away! Another goal :)

Take care - by the way....how are you doing?

I lost 3 pounds!!! Yah!!! I was so excited when I got on the scale this morning....Man, whoever doesn't belive in the power of prayer, I am a living testiment!!! ha ha!!!! I haven't got any actual cardio workouts, but I guess all the yard and housework is working my butt off.....literally!!! My goal is to make it through this week!!! We are having a birthday party Saturday for my son, so we have been in high gear trying to get all we can done with the house, plus the cleaning and not to mention the cooking and the making the birthday cakes..... oh, I am feeling stressed already!!!

I lost the two pounds I had gained the previous week! I was able to get in a lot of exercise, and it felt great. My goal is to continue the exercise when we're away over the next few weeks, and to make good/healthy choices when eating out. I need prayer for the defeatist attitude I have been feeling (a lot of it hormonal...)- you know, where you know in your head that there's light at the end of the tunnel, but it's hard to feel it in your heart? Your words today were just what I needed. Prayers for all.

Freedom from chocolate! Sweets are such my weakness, so in an effort to eat 'healthier' sweets I've been eating some chocolate (instead of pure sugar, empty calorie, candy). But I realized early last week that all the chocolate had my face broke out, so no more... :( I did meet my goal of exercise 3x, and also did ab pilates 10 minutes 6 mornings!

weight loss -3 lbs total

goal -exercise 4x
Bless you all! Nicole

Late checking in here. I have stayed the same. I would like to be free from using food to fill me up emotionally. Food is an emotional thing for me, and I use it too much to fill loneliness.
My goal is to get my house in order. I feel like I have been constantly trying to catch up therefore not focusing on exercise like I should.
My prayer request is that I will overcome this attitude that says I am already defeated in the area of weight loss, and that I will make it a reality that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Jackie

I just saw that you all are trying to eat healthier and lose weight so I would like to start too! I had lost some weight on Jenny Craig but found I had a lot of heart burn with their meals. I have been swimming so I have taken off 2 pounds in the last week. I just need to stay away from the chocolate. I just love the encouragement you all are giving eachother! God bless you and thank you for a wonderful post! Rose
