Singing Cowboy

Chelsea gave Drew her old guitar...he's been strummin' up a storm! He'll ask me, "Mama, what do you want to hear next? How 'bout "Joy, Joy"; how 'bout the tractor song (a.k.a. Jason Aldean's song "Amarillo Sky").
Yesterday he made up the following song (tune unknown =):
"God is good all the time. I love you Lord. You died on the cross, they rolled dice, the big rock rolled away. You are alive. Everything is beautiful. I love the tractors. Everything is beautiful. God is good!"
You know God is SO GOOD. In fact Ephesians 1:3 says, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ."

Blessed in Greek is Eulogeo
Eugleo- to bless, to speak well of, to distinguish with favor, to cause to prosper, to make happy.

This is cool on several levels...here's two:
1. Know that God speaks blessings and FAVOR over you!!! (Next time someone asks how I'm doing I need to say, "I am blessed and highly favored=)
2. Isn't it cool that the word means "TO SPEAK" not just "to think". God chooses to talk about us outloud. Imagine him talking about you...saying your name. When God speaks energy is released (think about creation) in your life. Glory!
# 3 (okay I know I only said two points, but this is too good) - This is what I am going to work on today...
1 Peter 3:8-9 "Finally, all of you should be of one mind. Sympathize with each other. Love each other as brothers and sisters. Be tenderhearted, and keep a humble attitude. Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing (YEP, that's the Greek word eulogeo). That is what God has called you to do,
and He will bless you for it.

Rayden has a little guitar too, although his isn't pink, and he LOVES it. Everytime a song is on TV he is running for that guitar to play and sing along!!

How are you doing? Haven't seen you in a while.
